Greetings boys and girls! Missed me much? I know I’ve been away for way too long but I promise I’ll never abandon you guys like that ever again. So why have I been MIA I hear you ask… Well I’ve got 99 excuses and consistency is one *sigh*. I guess uni life took over with tests, exams, coursework, committee elections etc etc; I really don’t know how I made it through these last few months, it’s only by God’s grace. But fear not for I have returned from my hiatus – Thrift Queen Lola is back in the game!

What I wore:
Jumper – Topshop
Trousers – Thrifted and customised – £5
Kimono – Topshop
Trainers – Office
Glasses – Thrifted – £2.50

I told you guys I’d style these pink babies and I finally did! I’ve been wearing them but I didn’t get the chance to take pictures for my blarrg until now. They’re the main focus of this outfit and they look pretty cute don’t they?! Such a great purchase. So when I’m thinking of what to wear I tend to choose something as my main “element” whether it be a shirt or a piece of jewellery and then style around it using it’s colours, textures and detail. With this look, my New Balances are obviously the main element with the foil jumper and cream kimono complimenting the colours perfectly and also breaking up the navy and black tones. The really amazing navy trousers I’m wearing are from a charity shop in Camden which I bought for my final collection on my Fashion Foundation last year; resourceful is my middle name! I simply just took them in at the bottom to make them more fitted and then rolled up the hem.
I’ve fallen in love with long-line stuff recently (even though I’m only 5’4 lool) taking some inspo from Fetish For Fine Fabrics and my kimono reminded me of her style. My plan is to wear high-waisted stuff and/or platforms with long line garments and strut my stuff so I can still werrk my new style obsession *twerks with excitement*. Lastly, I’ve got my cute, thrifted specs on and some simple jewellery to complete the look. Hope you enjoyed this post and see you guys in my next one.
